Homemade Rust Remover: Vinegar

tin_can

With the popularity of metal decor and my recent experiences I thought it would be useful to write this post. Yes, vinegar is an EXCELLENT rust remover. The best thing is that you have it in your home, it’s cheap and simple to work with.

It is ideal to submerge the rusty object in vinegar and wait for about 30 mins or more, depending on the amount of rust. If the object is large dab vinegar on. After successful cleaning, make sure to dry thoroughly.

General note: Be careful while working with rusty old metals and such. In case of any cut or wound contact your doctor to check if you need a tetanus shot.
